Steam Locomotive NCB No. 10 - the regular working locomotive at Dunaskin - has passed its annual hydraulic and steam exams, and will be in steam at Dunaskin on Sunday 26th June 2016. No. 10 will provide visitors with a short hurl in our passenger-carrying brakevan.
Fireless Steam Locomotive - the only working example of a fireless engine in the UK, will also be seen in action on the 26th June. This engine will be seen working once per hour (for about ten minutes each hour on the hour), hauling its short demonstration train.
East Ayrshire Countryside Ranger to join forces with ARPG on Sunday 26th June.
Join the Countryside Rangers for a walk and explore the area around the Scottish Industrial Railway Centre at Dunaskin. We'll be taking a closer look at wildlife with fun nature activities, and the walks are suitable for families and off - road buggies. Please make sure you wear suitable footwear and clothing.
The walks commence at Dunaskin Visitor Centre at 12 noon and 2pm for approx one hour in duration.
