The Scottish Industrial Railway Centre at Dunaskin will be open for the last time this year on Sunday 25th September, from 11am - 4pm. Our steam locomotive, NCB No. 10, will operate the passenger service using our specially adapted brakevan over a short length of the former Dalmellington Iron Company's main line.

On Sunday 25th September, we will have two locomotives in steam - NCB No. 10 and our unusual fireless engine, currently the only working example of this type of engine in the UK.

The souvenir shop will be open for business and the tearoom will be providing much needed refreshments, such as teas, coffees, soft drinks, confectionery,  sandwiches, etc.

Our steam model railway will be in action, and our Kiddies Corner will entertain the wee ones.

As a real extra treat, Ayr Burners Cycling will be in attendance, providing exciting opportunities aimed at the under five year olds to gain balancing skills in a safe envirnoment. Ayr Burners Cycling is a community development group with the aim of promoting cycling opportunities in Ayrshire.
